District 191 names Frannie Becquer as new Nicollet Middle School principal
District 191 Superintendent Dr. Theresa Battle announced that Frannie Becquer will be the next principal for Nicollet Middle School.
Becquer has been in District 191 for five years, serving as associate principal at Burnsville High School last year and as coordinator in the Systems Improvement and Student Achievement (SISA) department prior to that. She also has previous administrative and teaching experience in St. Paul, Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Center schools.
“Ms. Becquer has shown tremendous leadership during her time in District 191, especially in supporting and growing the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) college readiness programs in our secondary schools, and working to instill AVID principles in all classrooms,” Battle said. “With Nicollet’s status as an AVID National Demonstration school, I’m confident this will be a good fit for the Nicollet school community.”
“I believe all of our students are brilliant and beautiful and believe that it is our responsibility as educators and as an educational system to recognize, acknowledge and cultivate this brilliance,” Becquer said. “I feel privileged that I have been chosen to be the principal at Nicollet Middle School and look forward to serving the community.”
