District names Frannie Becquer interim Nicollet principal

District 191 Superintendent Dr. Latanya Daniels announced that Dr. Frannie Becquer will serve as interim principal at Nicollet Middle School for 2026-27. 

Dr. Becquer had been a member of the One91 community previously, including as principal at Nicollet for one year. She also held assistant principal and coordinator roles, and was particularly instrumental in leading culturally proficient school systems (CPSS) work. For the past three years, she’s served as director of Achievement, Equity and Multilingual Programs in Edina Public Schools. 

“I know her experience and strength as an instructional leader, and her knowledge of our community, our systems and our core values will help her succeed as she joins Nicollet right as the school year gets underway.” Dr. Daniels said. 

“I feel privileged to be back,” Dr. Becquer said. “District 191 is a special place and I’m excited to be back with the families, students and staff at Nicollet.”

Dr. Becquer was selected from a deep pool of candidates after multiple rounds of interviews. She officially begins her new role on Sept. 7.
